EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is a powerful, evidence-based trauma therapy.
EMDR helps people heal from the emotional distress of difficult or traumatic experiences. It uses guided eye movements or tapping to help the brain process and reframe memories in a way that reduces their emotional impact. With successful EMDR therapy, you will be able to remember the memories just like you remember non-triggering memories. Many people describe feeling “free” and find relief more quickly after the completion of EMDR than with traditional talk therapy.
Research shows EMDR is a helpful treatment for trauma, anxiety, phobias, and other overwhelming life experiences.

Dr. Pumper
I am a certified EMDR therapist, which means that I have completed extensive training and consultation on how to conduct EMDR properly, safely, and effectively. In my practice, I’ve seen EMDR work more quickly and be more impactful than other trauma therapies.
I’ve also had the unique opportunity to experience EMDR therapy firsthand. It was not only deeply transformative—it’s what inspired me to become an EMDR therapist. This combination of personal and professional experience allows me to approach EMDR with empathy, insight, and a deeper understanding of the process. It helps me guide patients through their own journeys in a more attuned and effective way.
