About Me
I strive to create a safe, warm, nonjudgemental, and collaborative environment. I believe that all feelings are valid and every emotion, thought, and behavior is here for a reason. I believe that you are an expert on your own experience; I am here to help you connect with your inner wisdom. I am committed to helping you find connection with the things that bring you a sense of meaning and purpose.
I have spent over a decade cultivating my skills to effectively and compassionately treat trauma and anxiety. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist (EMDRIA), have advanced training and certification in perinatal mental health, and am formally trained in the robust treatments of CPT, DBT, and CBT. Additionally, I am passionately engaged in the anti-human trafficking movement and I completed my doctoral dissertation with self-identified survivors of sex trafficking in the United States. I am driven to make impactful change on personal and systemic levels.
As a mom of two young children, I also personally understand the challenges that can come with pregnancy, postpartum, and the adjustment to motherhood.
Looking for an ADHD Assessment? I have robust training in comprehensive ADHD Assessments and have been conducting ADHD assessments for the past eight years. While leading an ADHD consultation group at an outpatient mental health clinic in a large Bay Area medical center, I developed an updated interview format to better distinguish ADHD symptoms from those of other mental health conditions.
